Events: Field Trips
A field trip is an off-campus tour or outing taken by students to enhance their knowledge and skills through the use of hands-on experience for academic purposes. These trips are generally coordinated by faculty or staff as part of the course curriculum and required for class credit. On
occasion, a field trip may be offered as a voluntary option, but the department and university still assume responsibility since it is in conjunction with the academic coursework. Examples of field trips include travel to factories, museums, geological areas, farms, and businesses.
